The North Carolina Department of Commerce works with economic development professionals across the state.  To provide statewide services, the Department contracts with the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), a public-private organization that delivers:

  • Site Selection and Location Services: EDPNC's Business Development team includes a group of development managers who serve nationwide and international business clients, offering local expertise and resources.
  • Existing Industry Services: The Business Services team at EDPNC connect North Carolina companies with the range of services and support available to companies doing business in the state.
  • International Business Experts:  Specialists located in North Carolina's International Offices help foreign companies locate in North Carolina and also assist North Carolina companies to export goods and services to overseas markets.
  • Business Referrals and Advice:  Counselors in the Business Link North Carolina (BLNC) call center answer questions and guide people through the process of starting a business, obtaining a business license, or finding available business resources within the state.
